Rosemary Laing

Born in Brisbane in 1959. Currently lives and works in Sydney.
Trained as a painter, she has been exploring conceptually based photography and performance since the 1980's. She has shown extensively in museums and galleries in Australia and Asia. In the United States, her work was most recently seen in North Carolina Museum of Art and the Worcester Art Museum. Her photographs are represented in the collections of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, the National Gallery of Australia, Kunstammlung Nordhein Westfalen, Dusseldorf, the Contemporary Museum, Kanazawa Japan, Museum of Modern Art, Fort Worth, Reina Sofia, Madrid, REFCO, Chicago, among others.
