DONNA RAVENSCROFT

AKA: Donna Ravenscroft

Born: 1951 Sydney, Australia
  • Abstract
  • Painter

Donna paints abstracted landscapes. The paintings evoke experiences with the harbour and the water, the edge dwelling with which Sydneysiders are familiar. The expression of Donna’s painting is somewhat architectural, suggesting and reminding us of very Sydney views across water to buildings, wharves, bridges, the CBD. Inspired by structures and landmarks, Donna depicts expansive and suggestive scenes of Sydney harbour abstracting familiar symbols of the city and its icons.
Donna‘s stroke is rich and thick with texture and layers.
Her palette is strong and vibrant - The composition and graphics are subtle and evolved.
Donna is currently working with the Edge group of artists.
