Kate Ferguson

Kate's inspirational childhood was spent in Kenya, a country bathed in light and abundant with magnificent wildlife. Raised with an appreciation for art, Kate was fascinated by works of well-known wildlife artists that surrounded her. An early ability in painting was nutured with her first "blue-eyed" lion being exhibited when she was five. Continuing with this interest all her life, Kate has woven her passion for art, love of nature and the outdoors into a lifelong experience. Kate now lives in Regional Victoria. Travelling to immerse herself in new experiences is also part of her philosophy on developing as an artist.
Working in graphite and oil, Kate finds both mediums equally interesting and challenging in their individual ways and also especially captivated by the impact that light has on the subjects that she paints
