Chris Pearson, an accomplished painter, recently spent time in Italy where his room with a view in each village and city inspired these atmospheric sketchbook studies. Those who have visited and loved Italy will be flooded with memories and those who are tempted to travel will be filled with longing and anticipation. Peeling Tuscan walls, Medieval towers, Renaissance buildings, lush panoramas of vineyards and olive groves and even the morning's washing are rendered in exquisite detail. Each coloured pencil drawing and gouache painting is like a jewel; a detailed and enticing original postcard.
