Artist in residence: Lorraine Connelly-Northey will be at the Gallery to talk to visitors about her work, her influences and methods. Tuesday to Friday from 11.30 to 12.30pm until the end og November.

The RAKA Award was established to honour the memory of Bernard Smith’s late wife, Kate Challis. RAKA is an acronym for the Ruth Adeney Koori Award. The category for 2003 is the visual arts. Artists include: Vernon Ah Kee (Qld), Lorraine Connelly (Vic), Sylvia Huege De Serville (WA), Julie Dowling (WA), Dorothy Galaledba (NT), Gordon Hookey (NSW), Roy Kennedy (NSW), Ricky Maynard (TAS), Ivan Namirrkki (NT), Trevor Nickolls (SA), Janice Peacock (Qld), Wingu Tingima (NT) and Tommy Watson (NT).
