Paintings, Drawings, Monoprints and Sculptures by KIM BARTER
Kim Barter’s recent camping trip to Mutawintji National Park, NE of Broken Hill, inspired her series of paintings, drawings, monoprints and sculptures. An expressionist, Kim’s abstracted shapes and colours describe her own response to her surroundings. Here is a landscape of dry, white, sandy river beds, massive boulders spilling from cavernous gorges, rock pools and red river gums. Animal tracks mark the environment and add to the ruggedness, beauty and spirit of place.
