Look for formulas that create nature’s designs... break down the design to the basic elements or fractals and you have an abstract landscape to contemplate.

to be opened by Mr. David Wallace FRACS, FRCS

'As an artist I always paint images that are meaningful to me. Initially I am drawn to a subject by the colour and combination of shapes. I love to abstract which allows me to see beyond the basic shapes in front of me. I also like to paint on large canvases, often with texture and loose brushstrokes.
I try to create a mood and sense of visual movement and I look for formulas that create nature’s designs, sometimes breaking down the design to the basic elements or fractals.
Each painting develops in its own way and I embrace the fact that there is a lot of variation in my paintings.
One of my favourite subjects is the Australian outback with its brilliant colours and outcrops.'
