Skylab - out of orbit is a multimedia exhibition by artists Dave Carson, Brian McClave, George Millward inspired by material relics from the fall out of NASA Skylab space station in 1979.
Skylab - out of orbit is a multidisciplinary exploration of relationships between astrophysics, art and mythology and features paintings, 3D photographs and a 3D video with accompanying soundscape. Artists Dave Carson, Brian McClave and George Millward were inspired by events that took place at two remote sites in Western Australia and the relics of those extra-terrestrial visitations. The two sites, Wolfe Creek Crater and Eserance, became a matrix connecting the ancient with the modern, the poetic with the scientific and the real with the imagined.
