An Environmental Art Project about a significant cultural place – Puritjarra, a rock shelter in the west of Central Australia providing archaeological evidence of human existence in the region going back 30,000 years. Presenting paintings of the site by Mandy Martin, one of Australia’s pre-eminent environmental artists, who was joined in the project by archaeologist Mike Smith, environmental historian Libby Robin, agricultural economist Guy Fitzhardinge and agricultural scientist Jake Gillen. Also featuring paintings of the Puritjarra area by the Ikuntji Artists at Haast’s Bluff.
